Willow Tree Figurines were established in January 2000 by Artist Susan Lordi. Her aim is to create Willow Tree Figures that capture emotions and moments of time, those which are important for us to express to one another. The name Willow Tree was chosen to suggest the gestural and beckoning aspect of each of the Willow Tree collectables.

Pieces are cast from Susan Lordi’s original hand crafted sculptures, and are then each individually hand painted. Willow Tree ornaments often carry natural objects or animals as metaphors for human virtues, and are inspired by ballet, nature and modern dance. Susan Lordi’s creations are informed by real life relationships and events that she has experienced, and her sculptures are often formed by having family and friends sit for her.
